Job summary

Fellows Creek Golf Club in Canton, MI is seeking an Event Server to deliver high-quality hospitality services. You will greet guests, describe daily specials, take and deliver orders, and ensure guest satisfaction from seating to final check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent, with 1–3 months related experience preferred.
• Comfortable reading and speaking English to interact with guests and teammates.
• Experience using a POS system and handling cash transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them promptly, providing attentive service.
• Describe daily specials and answer questions about menu items with recommendations.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver them promptly after preparation.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish as needed.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and participate in taste tests as required.
• Maintain an organized workstation and perform side work duties.
• Handle checks and cash; operate the POS system according to standards.
• Follow established order-taking, placement, and delivery procedures.
• Adhere to greeting, service, and beverage delivery standards; perform tray service as needed.
• Cross-train in bartending service and apply safe work practices in performance.

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.
• Follows-up with guest to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains organized workstation and side work duties
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Position may require to be cross-trained in bartending service.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Valid driver license required (driver license is will be required when operating the picker for range balls , golf cart)
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the
