Job description

Event Security Officer (Temporary Employee Pool)

Join to apply for the Event Security Officer (Temporary Employee Pool) role at Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific.

This position is part-time, supporting campus events with evening and weekend hours, and involves security checks, crowd control, providing information to guests, and reporting incidents.

Position Details

• Location: Stockton Campus
• Duration: 12 months
• Work Schedule: Nights/Weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform security checks and monitor traffic and people flow during events.
• Assist guests and visitors with directions and information.
• Report violations and incidents to police officers.
• Conduct perimeter checks to identify hazards.
• Prepare necessary reports and participate in community relations activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• One month of experience in a customer service setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Clean driving record for at least one month.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
• Ability to learn and apply university policies and use communication devices.

Physical & Other Requirements

Must be able to perform outdoor duties, stand, walk, and respond to stressful situations. Valid driver’s license required.
