Job summary

BEST Crowd Management in Wichita, KS is seeking an Event Staff & Security professional to join InTrust Bank Arena. The role blends event support with security tasks to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.

You will assist with setup, monitor access points, help attendees, coordinate with staff, manage crowds, respond to incidents, and uphold safety policies. The position is part-time, pays $13/hr, with flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
• Experience in event security or related field is advantageous.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as per schedule.
• Possess a valid security license or be willing to obtain one if required by local regulations.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup, including equipment, signage and materials.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide friendly customer service by helping attendees with inquiries and directions.
• Collaborate with event staff and security to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist in crowd management, controlling entry/exit and attendee flow.
• Respond promptly to security incidents following established protocols.
• Monitor areas to enforce event rules and safety procedures.
• Handle attendee complaints or conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies and guidelines to deliver high standards of service and security.
