Job summary

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring for an Event Security role in Punta Gorda, FL. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling and requires no prior experience. A current Florida State Security D License is required.

Enjoy weekly pay and opportunities to work at high-energy events like sports, concerts, and conventions. Responsibilities include bag checks, access control, and assisting guests with directions while enforcing safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• Background check and drug/alcohol test may be required.
• Able to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Control entry and direct traffic to venues, verify tickets and wristbands.
• Screen guests with bag searches, hand wand or metal detector and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring for security issues at checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Understand venue policies and regulations for different events.
• Provide directions and assistance to enhance guests' experience.
