Allied Universal® Event Services is looking to hire Event Security. This position is responsible for checking bags, enforcing access control, and implementing policies and procedures for guest safety while providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and crowd management at convention centers and major trade shows
• Provide customer service and directions to guests
• Follow site procedures and security protocols
• Check bags, verify wristbands and badges, and manage entry flow
• Screen guests during entry via bag search, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification
• Protect guests, staff, and venue assets by monitoring for security breaches at key checkpoints
• Respond quickly to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when needed
• Understand policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events
• Provide a positive experience for guests at facility entrances, concourses, and other locations
• Offer helpful directions and suggestions to enhance guest experience

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Nevada PILB Security Guard Registration required upon hire
• Candidates without an active PILB card may be considered pending licensing
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; additional screening may be required if driving a vehicle
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
