Job summary

City of Prattville is seeking a part-time scorer/concessions assistant to support at various events. Responsibilities include operating the electronic scoreboard, maintaining scorebooks, and handling concession sales and cash handling with accuracy.

Applicants should be at least 15 years old, possess basic math and communication skills, and be able to work outdoors in varying weather. Reliable transportation is preferred to ensure coverage for events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of City of Prattville policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of Parks and Recreation policies, rules, and procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of scoring used in sports.
• Knowledge of food safety principles.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with the public.

Responsibilities

• Operate electronic score system.
• Keeps scorebooks for each game.
• Sells concessions including soft drinks and food items to spectators at various events.
• Receives money and makes correct change for customers.
• Monitors money in the cash drawer to ensure adequate change is available.
• Cleans concession stand area.
• Counts revenues as assigned by supervisor.
• Checking facilities and restrooms for cleanliness; restocking supplies as needed.
• Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
• Must be at least fifteen (15) years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and/or dependable transportation.
