Davidson Hospitality Group is seeking an Event Sales professional to drive catering and banquet sales at Marriott Kansas City Overland Park. You will manage client relationships, plan menus with culinary, and coordinate hotel services to deliver exceptional events.

The role emphasizes contract interpretation, clear communication, and proactive sales activity to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue, within a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hotel sales experience.
• 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
• Strong negotiation and contract interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Professional appearance and proactive sales approach.
• Familiarity with banquet operations (AV, scheduling, menu planning).
• Experience with major hospitality sales CRM systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell and service events for in-house groups and external clients.
• Focus on Banquet Food and Beverage sales and related menu planning.
• Review contracts and coordinate communication before, during, and after events.
• Support site inspections and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with sales and catering teams to ensure service excellence.
