Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality is hiring a Convention Services Manager for Marriott Kansas City Country Club Plaza. This role drives catering and food & beverage sales, builds client relationships, and ensures unforgettable events.

You’ll work with Directors of Sales/Catering & Convention Services to hit revenue goals and elevate guest experiences in a dynamic hotel setting. The position emphasizes event execution, market awareness, and teamwork, with an overtime-eligible management status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; convention/event and catering sales experience preferred.
• Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events; professional selling skills (opening, probing, supporting, closing) desired.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state required.
• Strong verbal and written communication to negotiate, convince, and influence clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage multiple tasks independently and present effectively.

Responsibilities

• Knock meeting planner goals and food & beverage sales while keeping guests smiling.
• Build relationships with clients, host property tours, and participate in local events to make every event unforgettable.
• Stay ahead by tracking market trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.
• Spread positive vibes with guests and colleagues, attend key meetings, and keep the hotel running smoothly.
• Deliver flawless event orders on time, communicate changes quickly, and help every celebration shine.
• Tackle any other tasks as assigned by management.
