A prestigious high-volume, high-end restaurant is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Event Sales Manager to drive private dining, special events, corporate functions, celebrations, and large-scale restaurant events. This position is exclusively open to Orlando residents only.
This role is ideal for a polished hospitality sales professional who understands the unique demands of selling within a premium restaurant environment. The Event Sales Manager will manage the full event sales cycle—from prospecting and client relationship development through contract execution, event planning, and post-event follow-up.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales goals in luxury restaurants, upscale hotels, private clubs, or high-volume hospitality environments and possess exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Event Sales & Business Development
- Drive revenue through private dining, buyouts, corporate events, celebrations, social events, and special culinary experiences.
- Proactively prospect for new business through networking, referrals, partnerships, outbound sales, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Conduct site tours and personalized presentations for prospective clients.
- Respond to inquiries promptly and convert qualified leads into confirmed events.
- Develop creative sales strategies to maximize event revenue and restaurant utilization.
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, event planners, luxury travel advisors, wedding professionals, local businesses, and high-net-worth clientele.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process.
- Understand each client's objectives, preferences, budget, and expectations.
- Provide highly personalized service and maintain exceptional communication.
- Develop repeat business and referral opportunities.
- Manage client concerns professionally and ensure an exceptional overall experience.
Event Planning & Execution
- Manage the event process from initial inquiry through final billing and post-event follow-up.
- Create detailed event proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, floor plans, timelines, and menus.
- Coordinate closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, Beverage leadership, and operations team.
- Ensure all event details are accurately communicated to operational teams.
- Attend and oversee key events to ensure flawless execution.
- Conduct post-event reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
Revenue Management
- Strategically price events based on demand, seasonality, day of week, guest count, and operational capacity.
- Maximize food, beverage, room rental, and ancillary revenue opportunities.
- Recommend upgrades, enhancements, premium menus, wine pairings, entertainment, and specialty experiences.
- Monitor event profitability and ensure proposals align with financial objectives.
- Develop strategies to maximize revenue during traditionally slower periods.
High-Volume Event Operations
- Manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Coordinate high-volume event calendars and ensure operational teams are adequately prepared.
- Maintain accurate event forecasts and communicate upcoming business to leadership.
- Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Ensure event execution maintains the restaurant's luxury standards regardless of volume.
Marketing & Partnerships
- Collaborate with Marketing to promote private dining and event offerings.
- Develop relationships with luxury hotels, corporate offices, destination management companies, event planners, and local organizations.
- Participate in networking events, trade shows, client appreciation events, and industry functions.
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and cross-promotional initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of competitive restaurants, venues, and local event trends.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of event sales or hospitality sales experience.
- Proven success selling private events, banquets, catering, or restaurant experiences.
- Experience in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, resort, private club, or upscale event venue.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM/event management systems.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays based on event schedules.

- Experience selling within a high-volume fine dining or luxury restaurant.
- Existing relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding planners, and luxury hospitality partners.
- Experience with restaurant buyouts and large-scale private events.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage programs.

- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
