Wire One Communications in Saugerties, NY is seeking an Event Rental Consultant to manage customer orders, quote creation, and showroom meetings. You will work with the Sales team to fulfill client requirements, resolve inventory questions, and drive revenue while building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.

The role requires 1-3 years in hospitality, strong computer skills, and a collaborative mindset.

• Proficient with computers (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of calls to assist in creating customer orders.
• Assist customers with event order design, changes, and product questions.
• Diligently manage $1-2.5M+ in revenue annually.
• Proactively maintain and expand strategic house accounts.
• Consult with clients to determine event details and rental needs.
• Identify and pursue target client prospects while following up on leads.
• Prepare customer quotes and follow up within 48 hours.
• Enter customer orders and production schedules, verify accuracy, complete revisions.

About The Job

The Event Rental Consultant is responsible for all sales activities from initiation through close. This role is a vital part of our Sales team and is tasked with answering a high volume of calls in our call center, data entry, troubleshooting inventory questions, and meeting with clients in our showroom. This position works collaboratively with other sales consultants as well as various Departments to achieve customer satisfaction, strengthen customer relationships, generate revenue and achieve long-term account management goals that are in line with company vision and values. This opportunity is in our Saugerties, NY location.

Must be able to work two Saturdays in office per month.

Must also be willing to assist in covering on-call once every 24 weeks (Wednesday-Wednesday). On-call pay is an additional $600 for regular weeks and $750 for holiday weeks

What You’ll Do

• Hospitability answer a high volume of phone calls to assist in creating customer orders
• Expertly assist customers with event order design, any order changes and product questions
• Diligently handle $1-2.5M+ in revenue annually
• Proactively maintain and expand strategic house accounts
• Consult with clients to determine event details and rental needs
• Identify and manage target client prospects while following up on leads
• Prepare all customer quotes and follow up within 48 hours
• Prepare and enter customer orders and production schedules/timelines, verify entered orders for accuracy, complete all revisions/additions
• Participate and share experiences in weekly sales meetings
• Conduct showroom appointments and assist with showroom visitors
• Problem solve and troubleshoot rental inventory issues
• Educate customers about all rental items
• Assist in event installation as needed
• Understand and respect the confidentiality of client and company information
• Establish yourself as a trustworthy member of the sales team
• Attend at least two industry networking events per quarter and build relationships for the future business of the company
