Job summary

Cognition is seeking an events coordinator to design and run memorable recruiting events, conferences, and campus pop-ups, coordinating candidate dinners and offsite gatherings for our growing R&D team and global partnerships. You’ll own talent operations, track budgets, source venues, manage vendors, measure ROI, and optimize programs as the company expands.

About the role

You’ll design and run events that bring people together—from candidate dinners and conference booth set‑ups to R&D offsites and internal programs.

You’ll also own talent operations for the R&D recruiting team, helping create streamlined processes for things to run smoothly.

Some days you might be coordinating an offsite dinner for an international conference in Berlin followed by an intimate concert. Other days you’re launching a new internal referral program, planning a surprise celebration, or making sure a shipment of swag arrives before flying to your next destination.

What you’ll do
Design and run memorable events
  • Plan and execute recruiting events including candidate dinners, conferences, and pop‑up activations on campus
  • Source the most unique, creative venues and over-the-top a
  • Partner with leadership and the Employee Experience team to create events that feel thoughtful and intentional
  • Recruit the top talent at each event by acting as a Cognition ambassador
Make the details work
  • Track budgets and event spend
  • Coordinate vendors and logistics across multiple events and initiatives
  • Help continuously improve how we run events and programs as the company grows
  • Track ROI and get feedback from each event to evaluate each event’s effectiveness

  • Has 2-4 years of experience planning events, programs, or community initiatives
  • Is both creative and operationally strong—able to dream up ideas and execute them well
  • Loves bringing people together and creating meaningful shared experiences
  • Has excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Is comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Enjoys working in a fast‑moving, collaborative environment
