Encore Decor is an event design company that produces. Through insightful discovery sessions with event planners and end clients we develop special event settings, floral decor, AVL effects that create emotional experiences for their guests. Integrating a wide range of in‑house capabilities and close vendor relationships we go beyond traditional approaches to galas, award shows, expos, and receptions.

Job Description
  • As the event producer you are involved in the production of events from concept to strike. The ideal producer has an outgoing personality with a focus on customer service and a knowledge of special event production from branding, creative content, audio visual, and so forth. A professional attitude is a must onsite and facing the client, a creative and collaborative mind is a must within the team.
  • Under the mentorship of the Creative Director you'll lead event planning and production. From event conception to execution you will head up the team from brainstorming to production, leading the charge on creative ideas, innovative design solutions, client relations, budget management, logistics and production. This position has non-typical business hours that will see the producer exceeding the typical 40 hour work week. While some hours are flexible, events will require night and weekend work. Travel is mostly based in the DC Metro Area but some out of state travel is possible.
Qualifications
  • Create and develop proposals with consideration to each event’s specific needs as it relates to budget, scale, time and creative
  • Be an onsite manager, installer, liaison as each job may require. Capable of lifting 50 lbs and more at times, the event producer is not afraid to construct and get involved with the team.
  • Have knowledge of DC based hotels, venues and other locations as it pertains to docks, loading zones, noise ordinances, etc. The event producer needs to be familiar with our sites to troubleshoot any forecasted problems and solve any that may occur last minute.
  • Knowledge of audio, visual and lighting components is important
  • Creative writing for client presentation, proposals and email communication is a MUST for this position
  • The ideal client will have experience with prop design, carpentry, be handy with tools and not afraid to learn.
