Moonlight Studios Chicago is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Event Porter & Building Maintenance Attendant to support event operations and keep the venue clean, organized, and well maintained. This hands-on role focuses on event portering as the primary responsibility, with cleaning and basic maintenance on non-event days.

You will work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, collaborating with guests, vendors, and venue staff.

Qualifications

• Previous porter, custodial, housekeeping, building maintenance, or event-venue experience preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work with limited supervision.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, and detail.
• Comfortable performing hands-on cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
• Able to manage routine tasks independently and adjust priorities when event needs arise.
• Professional demeanor and good communication skills.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, late nights, and occasional holidays as event schedules require.
• Reliable transportation to and from Moonlight Studios Chicago.

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness of guest areas, restrooms, hallways, entrances, loading areas, and back-of-house spaces throughout events.
• Restock paper products, soap, and other supplies; monitor and empty trash/recycling.
• Help ensure vendors follow venue garbage and dumpster procedures.
• Respond promptly to spills and cleaning needs; sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe surfaces.
• Assist with pre-event preparation, post-event cleanup, and venue resets.
• Move and reset furniture; remove debris; return areas to standard condition.
• Work around guests, clients, vendors, caterers, and production crews; refer questions to staff.
• Complete opening, event, and closing checklists.
• Perform scheduled building cleaning and upkeep on non-event days.
