Job summary

Paradise Point Resort and Spa in San Diego seeks an Event Planning Manager to coordinate all aspects of events from planning to execution, ensuring unforgettable guest experiences.

You will liaison with hotel sales teams and supervise meetings, banquets, and conferences, offering problem-solving during events and handling group logistics, F&B, spaces, and billing. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field; 2+ years hotel sales experience.
• 1-year food and beverage experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of negotiation and contract interpretation.
• Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
• Present a professional appearance and confidence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and team members.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with Hospitality Sales CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

Overview

Join our team as an Event Planning Manager - a creative and detail-oriented professional role. In this Event Planning Manager role, you will coordinate all aspects of events, from initial planning to execution, ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience. The Event Planning Manager acts as a liaison between customers and hotel sales teams, providing direction and supervision during execution of meeting and banquet functions, events, and conferences. Will be available to customers during event to solve problems and suggest alternatives to previous arrangements. They will directly serve group and catering customers in a proactive manner working with the logistics of group room blocks, food and beverage, public meeting space, and billing processes. • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field, and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience
• 1-year food and beverage experience
