Job Summary
The Event Planner, Camps & Conferences plans, coordinates, andexecutes university events, summer camps and conferences. Theposition collaborates with university departments, externalclients, campus partners, and service providers to plan and executeevents, camps, and conferences.

Job Description
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Plans university, community, and summer camp events incompliance with university regulations, policies, andprocedures.
- Assists customers with catering, technology, parking, securityand setups while utilizing university space most effectively.Routes reservation requests to facility use custodians asrequired.
- Collaborates with a wide variety of campus constituents andoutside organizations to coordinate event logistics.
- Monitors campus events for compliance and implements Universitypolicy with regard to the Use of University Facilities, Postingsand Solicitation on Campus, Consumption of Alcohol on Campus,Animals on Campus, and Public Expression on Campus.
- Assists with the coordination of summer camps and conferencesutilizing the One Stop Shop business model.
- Prepares and executes Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) andFacility Use Agreements (FUAs) for Campus Reservations and CampusConference Programs in accordance with university policies andevent classification guidelines.
Other Job Duties
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- Reports building safety, security, and maintenance issues toappropriate department.
- Participates in weekly coordination meetings with campusservice providers to ensure all required services are confirmed andeffectively coordinated for campus meetings and events.
Required Qualifications
- This position requires a high school diploma and two years offull-time experience directly related to the job functions.
- Relevant experience in administrative support or eventplanning.
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience,and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in HospitalityManagement or closely related field.
- Two years of full-time experience in event coordination andplanning in a higher education setting.
- Experience with CollegeNET 25Live.

- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize andcomplete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
- Skill in editing documents for spelling and grammar.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Exceptional event scheduling and coordination skills.
- Ability to diffuse and respond professionally to stressfulsituations and difficult people.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff,faculty, students, and the community in a service-orientedenvironment.
