Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking Operations Staff to support event set-up, breakdown, and general maintenance at Tony's Pizza Events Center in Salina, KS. The role pays $14.00 hourly and is open for part-time hours to fit event schedules.

Responsibilities include general labor, housekeeping, setting up seating and stages, equipment care, and maintaining storage areas. Flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and some holidays is essential to meet event needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with event operations and changeovers is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible shifts based on events and building needs, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
• Ability to follow basic and detailed instructions.
• Ability to perform general labor; frequent heavy lifting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a forklift certification preferred. (we will train).
• Ability to take direction.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor, repairs, and maintenance on various aspects of the arena as assigned.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Primary duties include building connections for various events.
• Setup and breakdown of chairs, tables, other event seating, stages, basketball courts, football fields, etc.
• Actively care for all arena equipment and property by storing equipment properly, cleaning and repairing broken or damaged items, and alerting management of any mistreatment of property.
• Maintain organized storage areas.
• Perform lawn maintenance such as mowing lawns, pulling weeds, and trimming trees.
• Perform snow removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, parking areas, entryways, and loading docks.
• Additional duties may be assigned by the operations manager or director of operations.
