Job summary

Gaylord Hotels in Aurora, Colorado seeks an experienced events/meetings coordinator-manager to assist in planning and executing meetings and special events. You will promote and execute all property events, ensuring a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales as needed.

You will lead the team to meet daily and weekly goals for sales, attendance, guest satisfaction, and safety while supporting departmental strategies and event management initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 years experience in hospitality, event management, F&B, sales or related area.
• 2-year degree in hospitality or related major; 1 year experience in hospitality, event management, F&B, sales or related area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to meet daily/weekly goals in sales, attendance and guest satisfaction.
• Research and analyze new products, pricing and services of competition.
• Assist in apprising property of all groups that will impact operations.
• Execute event management strategy aligned with the company’s business strategy and lead its execution.
• Conduct daily walk-through of banquet floor to promote client satisfaction and quality standards.
• Learn, operate and train employees on event software such as ticketing, retail, inventory, space usage.
