Job summary

Snake Oil Cocktail Company is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee the operational execution of beverage catering events in San Diego. You will partner with the VP of Operations to plan logistics, prep equipment, develop SOPs, and lead onsite teams from load-in through breakdown, ensuring service excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years beverage catering, hospitality, events, or related operations.
• Age 21 or older by start of employment.
• Experience developing or implementing SOPs, training programs, or operational systems.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace; POS/scheduling tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate operational execution with the VP of Operations and sales team.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients, venues, vendors, and internal teams.
• Prepare and maintain event documents (floor plans, timelines, staffing schedules).
• Oversee equipment readiness and run-of-show for events.
• Lead onsite operations and supervise bartenders, barbacks, and staff.
• Develop, roll out, and enforce SOPs; train staff accordingly.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing training of beverage staff.
