Job summary

Oklahoma City Thunder is seeking an Event Operations Coordinator to support planning, coordination, and execution of internal turnkey events and organizational initiatives. You will partner with multiple departments to coordinate intake, planning, logistics, and execution while expanding team capacity.

You will help forecast events, plan resources, and standardize processes to deliver consistent, high-quality events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in event coordination, event operations, community outreach, or a related area.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

The Event Operations Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of internal turnkey events and organizational event initiatives. This role serves as an operational partner to internal departments, coordinating event intake, planning, logistics and execution while helping create additional capacity within the Events team.The position oversees the event intake and request process, ensuring needs are captured, prioritized, and planned effectively. The work schedule requires flexibility, including availability for events and game nights during evenings, weekends, and holidays. The primary work location is the Thunder corporate office at Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City, with some events requiring travel throughout the metro area. A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation are required. Physical requirements include lifting up to 25 pounds and bending.
