Subject is seeking an energetic Event & Marketing Coordinator to join our team on-site in Austin. You will support brand awareness through robust email campaigns and hands-on event execution, helping to drive pipeline and convert leads into opportunities.

In this role you’ll travel up to 40%, coordinate cross-functional planning, and collaborate with the Senior Manager, Field Marketing & Events to ensure every event leaves a lasting impression while maintaining high energy and speed in a startup

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in marketing, email marketing, or event coordination support.
  • Ability to work 70+ hours a week and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Experience with ESPs (Mailchimp/HubSpot/ActiveCampaign) and basic HTML for emails.
  • On-site work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:45 PM, with travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage events from logistics to follow-up, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Design, build, and deploy targeted email campaigns to drive registrations and nurture leads.
  • Copywriting for emails and creation of branded templates.

We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable Event & Marketing Coordinator to join our team on-site. In this dynamic, high-impact role, you will be instrumental in supporting brand awareness initiatives through both digital marketing strategies—specifically robust email campaigns—and hands‑on event execution.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Manager, Field Marketing & Events to ensure every event fuels pipeline, strengthens relationships, and makes Subject impossible to ignore. Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Management (Support & Execution)

  • Logistics Assistance: Assist with pre-event planning, vendor research, venue communication, promotional material coordination, and post-event follow-ups.
  • On‑Site Event Support: Travel up to 40% of the time to assist with event setup, manage registration tables, support attendees and speakers, and help resolve real‑time issues on‑site.
  • Budget & Asset Tracking: Assist in tracking event expenses against budgets, maintaining inventory of event collateral/swag, and preparing post-event ROI reports.

Email Marketing & Digital Campaigns

  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Design, build, test, and deploy targeted, engaging email marketing campaigns to drive event registrations and nurture leads.
  • Copywriting & Content Creation: Write persuasive email copy and create visually appealing templates aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Segmentation & Database Management: Manage and segment subscriber lists to ensure relevant messaging reaches specific audience personas.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Monitor and report on email performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions) and run A/B tests to continuously improve engagement.
  • Cross‑Functional Support: Work alongside internal sales, creative, and management teams to align marketing campaigns with broader business goals.
  • Collateral & Materials: Coordinate the printing, packing, and shipping of event collateral, signage, and promotional items to venue destinations.
  • Market Research: Stay current on industry trends, competitive event presence, and modern email marketing best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 3‑4+ years of hands‑on experience in marketing, email marketing, and/or event coordination support.
  • You’re not just willing... You want to put in 70+ hours a week because you care deeply about building something great, moving fast, and making your mark.
  • Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with Email Service Providers (ESPs) such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar tools. Basic knowledge of HTML for email templates is a plus.
  • Schedule Commitment: Ability to work on‑site in the office full‑time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:45 PM.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% for trade shows, corporate events, and off‑site meetings.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in copywriting and vendor coordination.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and remain calm under pressure during live events.
