Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and food safety.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility to work morning and midday shifts, Monday through Friday, as well as occasional evenings, weekends, and UNC football game days based on event needs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry kitchen supplies as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and food safety standards.
• Assist with daily meal preparation and service for UNC student-athletes.
• Support catering events, buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work environment.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures.
• Work collaboratively with chefs and culinary team members to ensure quality and timely service.
• Assist with special events and high-volume service as needed.
• Potentially operate interactive chef stations during UNC football games, preparing and serving food directly to guests while providing an engaging hospitality experience.
