Job summary

City of Caldwell (ID) seeks a full-time maintenance worker to perform landscaping, mowing, and general facility maintenance at the Caldwell Events Center and other city locations. Duties include setting up and tearing down for events, coordinating with event staff, cleaning grounds, and performing basic repairs as needed.

The role involves indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions, with responsibilities that require safe operation of tools and equipment and strong customer service

Qualifications

• At least one year work experience involving landscaping and mowing.
• At least one year work experience involving indoor and outdoor building and facility maintenance, including repairs, custodial duties, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Performs landscape tasks such as planting, watering, fertilizing, mowing, and raking grass.
• Sets up and tears down for events and coordinates with event staff.
• Provides coordination and customer service for events.
• Collects litter and debris and maintains cleanliness of facilities.
• Operates power equipment and uses hand tools for maintenance tasks.
• Performs repairs to windows, doors, plumbing, and fixtures as needed.
• Maintains safety and reports damages to supervisor.
• Assists with installation of water lines, irrigation, fencing, benches and other fixtures.
