Job summary

Legends Global is hiring a part-time Groundskeeper at the Long Beach Amphitheater. The role supports both grounds maintenance and venue cleanliness to keep the facility safe, clean, and guest-ready during events.

The position involves landscaping work, exterior cleaning, and post-event cleanup using approved tools and chemicals in line with safety standards. The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, ability to work weekends and event-based schedules, and compliance with the union

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of landscaping/groundskeeping, custodial, or facility maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dig holes for plants and trees using hand tools such as shovels and picks.
• Mix soil, fertilizer, and other materials to prepare planting areas.
• Plant trees, shrubs, and flowers in designated locations.
• Stake and secure newly planted trees using ties or wire.
• Haul, spread, and level topsoil using wheelbarrows, rakes, and similar tools.
• Water lawns, plants, and landscaped areas using hoses or portable irrigation systems.
• Apply fertilizer or seed to support turf and plant growth.
• Perform basic lawn care including mowing, edging, trimming, and hedge maintenance.
• Operate landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment as required.
• Perform routine cleaning of exterior venue areas including plazas, walkways, and entrances.
• Remove trash, debris, and recyclables before, during, and after events.
• Empty and maintain trash and recycling receptacles throughout the property.
• Conduct post-event cleanup, including sweeping and resetting exterior areas.
• Perform spot cleaning or power washing of hard surfaces as needed.
• Report safety hazards, spills, or maintenance concerns promptly.
