Job summary

SHRM is seeking a Specialist, Event Engagement to plan, coordinate, and deliver attendee experiences across executive gatherings, conferences, and expos up to 26,000 attendees. You will help with branding, partnerships, and live production to ensure cohesive journeys at events.

The role requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years in PR/marketing/event settings, with strong project management and cross-functional collaboration. A hybrid work model is offered with travel 20–30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant equivalent experience.
• Three (3) or more years of related experience in a PR/marketing/event environment or agency.

Responsibilities

• Support event branding across printed, digital, environmental, and onsite assets.
• Own the event signage plan, coordinating with Event Logistics for messaging and production.
• Source and coordinate entertainment, décor, and other vendors to enhance attendee experience.
• Develop and maintain run-of-show, master script, rehearsal and production documents for Main Stage.
• Coordinate on-screen graphics and visual content for programming stages.
• Assist onsite stage operations, including speaker movement and rehearsals.
• Partner cross-functionally with SHRM teams to bring priorities to life within events.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets with stakeholders and external vendors.
• Coordinate with external vendors for deliverables, deadlines and onsite execution.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
