Job summary

CORT Events in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to oversee a driver team and a fleet of up to 20 trucks. You will route deliveries, monitor progress, communicate with drivers and customers, and ensure safety and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dispatcher experience or similar
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Must pass drug screening and E-Verify per policy

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily movement and activities of a team of up to 20 delivery drivers including productivity, performance and customer service
• Maintain and supervise a fleet of up to 20 trucks including pre-trip inspections and maintenance coordination
• Dispatch responsibilities include tracking trucks and progress using tracking tools, logging exceptions, and communicating with drivers, sales and customers
• Provide updates via two-way electronic communication, E-mail, V2, Decartes, phone and IM
• Manage day-to-day flow of all trucks and routes to meet delivery windows
• Administrative tasks: route schedule upkeep, phones, issue resolution and escalation as needed
• Ensure safety standards are adhered to
