Job summary

Marathon Staffing Group in Tucson, AZ is seeking dedicated Custodians for a part-time seasonal assignment. You will maintain clean, safe spaces across classrooms, offices, and public areas, following professional housekeeping standards to ensure inviting workspaces.

Ideal candidates have custodial experience, knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety practices, and the physical stamina to lift and move furniture.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving furniture, and extended periods of walking or standing.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Must be able to work throughout campus buildings, be comfortable working independently or as part of a team to ensure facilities are kept in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, polish, and strip floors in rooms and hallways.
• Dust and/or polish furniture, blinds, and equipment.
• Vacuum, spot clean, and extract carpets and upholstered furniture using commercial equipment.
• Follow all workplace safety precautions and procedures.
• Clean restrooms and refill dispensers with supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc.).
• Empty trash cans and mop restroom floors with proper cleaning chemicals.
• Report malfunctions of bathroom fixtures, lighting, or damaged furnishings to Supervisor.
• Replace light bulbs as needed and initiate work orders for repairs or maintenance.
• Move furniture, equipment, or fixtures when required.
• Maintain stock of appropriate cleaning and facility supplies.

What you’ll be doing

We are seeking dedicated Custodians to join our team at Marathon Staffing. Custodians are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across public spaces, events, classrooms, labs, and offices. This role ensures that all building occupants enjoy professional housekeeping standards and inviting workspaces.

You will be responsible for…
