Job summary

Marathon Staffing Group is seeking a Custodial Worker in Marianna, Florida. You will perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and general maintenance to keep facilities safe, clean, and orderly. The role covers offices, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of custodial or janitorial experience, with the ability to pass background and drug screening. The shift runs Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, lounges, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, libraries and holding cells.
• Perform floor care: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and buffing.
• Sanitize high-touch areas such as sinks, counters and toilets.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, baseboards and handles.
• Restock soap, paper towels, toilet paper and related supplies.
• Remove trash and debris from indoor and outdoor areas.
• Secure buildings by locking doors and windows after cleaning.
• Monitor supply inventory and report low stock.
• May assist with basic landscaping duties such as mowing and trimming.
• Support general clean-up, material handling and light maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and PPE properly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Custodial Worker is responsible for performing routine cleaning, sanitizing, and general maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment in assigned facilities. This role includes indoor and outdoor custodial tasks across various areas such as offices, public spaces, restrooms, entryways, and other assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain designated areas including offices, lounges, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, libraries, and holding cells.
• Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing.
• Sanitize high-touch and high-use areas, including sinks, toilets, counters, showers, water fountains, and medical spaces.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, baseboards, handles, and other surfaces as required.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other custodial products.
• Remove trash and debris from both indoor and outdoor areas and properly dispose of waste.
• Secure buildings by locking doors and windows during or after cleaning, as required.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report low or depleted stock.
• May assist with basic landscaping duties such as mowing lawns and trimming shrubs using hand or power tools.
• Participate in general clean-up, material handling, and light maintenance tasks.
• Follow established safety procedures and properly use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of custodial, janitorial, commercial cleaning, or related experience required.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive/deep background screening.
• Must have consistently reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks.

Schedule & Pay

Pay Rate: $16.26 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
