Job summary

Michaels Goodyear West is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate store events, including children's birthday parties and craft classes, in a friendly, creative environment.

You will help customers shop, assist with checkout, manage event logistics, and communicate clearly with clients and team; you will set up and break down events, upholding safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at Michaels Goodyear West, including children’s parties and craft classes.

• Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects; perform face painting and related activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; complete administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork).
• Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event; ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with truck unloading, stocking, planograms, and general store duties as needed.
• Support omni-channel processes and participate in daily store operations including checkouts.

Store - Goodyear West, AZPlan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.**Event Coordination*** Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.* Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.* Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.* Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.* Communicate events with clients and store team members.* Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.* Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.* Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.* Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.* Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.
