Job description

Every day, each Fooda location is served by a different restaurant that comes onsite and serves fresh lunch from their chef’s unique menu. Fooda is currently recruiting for a part-time Event Coordinator in our Boston market. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Support Fooda events in various capacities, including onsite setup, teardown, cleaning equipment and site areas, problem-solving, and ensuring high-quality setup and customer experience.
  2. Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operational procedures.
  3. Address issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or miscommunications.
  4. Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) systems, onsite technology, and TV menu boards.
  5. Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching.
  6. Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly.
  7. Facilitate audits of restaurant event setups to ensure consistency and quality.
  8. Escalate issues to the Operations Manager when necessary.
  9. Availability during critical hours over lunch Tuesday - Thursday (10 am – 2 pm), with responsibilities potentially spanning 8 am-4 pm depending on market needs.

Who You Are:

  2. You are friendly, energetic, and enjoy interacting with people.
  3. You are tech-savvy and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  4. You are resourceful, able to stay composed under pressure, and find solutions efficiently.
  5. You are a strong communicator and self-motivated.
  6. You are organized and detail-oriented; a Type-A personality is a plus!
  7. You know the local area well and can get around efficiently using your own vehicle.
  8. You seek a steady part-time role (12-15 hours/week) with flexible hours during regular business times.
  9. Prior catering or serving experience is strongly preferred.
