Legends Global is seeking an Event Coordinator to lead planning and execution of meetings, conventions, trade shows, and live experiences at Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, AZ. You will partner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate logistics, timelines, and requirements for seamless events.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year University
  • 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of facility management, services, and equipment for a similar facility
  • Demonstrated AutoCAD proficiency will be strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and general office equipment
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact with all levels of staff and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Meets with clients and/or their liaison(s) to plan and organize event logistics.
  • Coordinates activities with the various service contractors for events.
  • Guides clients in the preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies, and procedures.
  • Keeps clients informed as to status of deadline schedules, including floor plan submissions, meeting room set‑up specifications, insurance requirements and other relevant details.
  • Performs check requests and event related purchases.
  • Provides clear, concise, and timely communications of detailed requirements to Operations personnel.
  • Assists in scheduling operational set‑ups to provide equipment or service’s needs.
  • Monitors and supervises facility set‑up when necessary.
  • Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
  • Monitors in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events.
  • Follows‑up on all client requests, concerns, and problems.
  • Attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations.

About the Role

The Event Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning and execution process, helping bring meetings, conventions, trade shows, community events, and live experiences to life at Mesa Convention Center. This role partners closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate event logistics, manage timelines, communicate operational requirements, and ensure every event is delivered seamlessly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and exceptional service drive successful outcomes.

ABOUT MESA CONVENTION CENTER

Located in downtown Mesa, Arizona, Mesa Convention Center is the largest event venue in the East Valley. The venue features nearly 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space, 26 breakout rooms, 40,000 square feet of outdoor function space, and an outdoor amphitheater with capacity for up to 5,000 guests. From conferences and trade shows to community gatherings, festivals, and live entertainment, Mesa Convention Center provides a versatile setting for memorable events and experiences.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)
  • Meets with clients and/or their liaison(s) to plan and organize event logistics.
