Job summary

Fooda is seeking part-time event support staff to help with on-site setup, customer service, and coordination of restaurant access at client locations in the St. Louis area. You will ensure smooth operation during lunch hours and assist with POS and app-related tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates are friendly, energetic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. Prior catering or serving experience is preferred, and you should be able to travel locally by car to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with clients
• Friendly, high energy, and comfortable interacting with people in a fast-paced setting
• Tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot basic onsite technology and POS issues
• Know the local territory and navigate efficiently in your own car
• Self-starter who communicates well and stays organized
• Catering or serving experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas; ensure high quality setup and customer experience
• Serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés when needed
• Get restaurants onsite and access to the building
• Gain competency with Fooda's technology and standard operating procedures
• Troubleshoot issues such as incorrect orders or late deliveries
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager as needed

Who We Are:
Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited,and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago's local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food. It was an immediate hit. When they discovered people from other companies sneaking into their office, they knew they were on to something.

Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices. Today, we operate in 60 cities with over 100 million meals served and continue to grow rapidly.

Powered by technology and a network of 3,500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and more. What You'll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: 1.) being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience, 2.) serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who have time off, and 3.) getting restaurants onsite and access to the building
• Gain competency with Fooda's technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch Monday- Friday (10am-2pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You are savvy with technology and will be comfortable in a fast-paced start-up
• You are resourceful, exhibit grace under pressure, and know you're capable of finding solutions
• You are a strong communicator and self-starter
• You are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!
• You're someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You're looking for a steady part-time job (about 27.5hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
