San Mateo County Event Center is seeking a customer service oriented Event Coordinator to work special events. The role involves providing logistical support, coordinating with clients and vendors, and ensuring safe, successful events on the SMCEC campus. This is an on-call, non‑full‑time position with shifts offered as events occur.
The position pays $27.00 per hour and requires at least two years of hospitality or event-related experience, with availability to work evenings and weekends.
The San Mateo County Event Center is a public assembly facility which hosts a wide variety of events and produces the San Mateo County Fair and operates the Jockey Club, a satellite wagering facility for horseracing as well as a full-service food service operation. An event coordinator serves in a highly visible capacity providing logistical support for events taking place on the SMCEC campus. Works directly with clients and vendors along with facilities, operations, and food services staff to provide event management and coordination to ensure a successful event.
This position provides Event Coordinator services during select events on an as needed basis. This is not a full-time position and this position does not have a regular work schedule. You will be offered shifts as they become available based on our event schedule.
Rate of pay: $27.00 per hour
