Job summary

Five Iron Golf is hiring an Event Captain to ensure top-tier on-site execution for events of all sizes in its New York venues. You will lead teams, greet guests, prepare spaces, resolve issues, and close contracts while maintaining the Five Iron standard of hospitality.

• Coordinate with kitchen staff to meet customer expectations.
• Provide feedback to Sales to drive repeat business.
• Handle inventory purchase and management for events.
• Support Event Sales Manager with admin tasks.

Event Captain at Five Iron ensures the team delivers an elevated experience for events of all sizes and delivers on the Five Iron promise of Best-in-Class Events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide an elevated event experience for all events by leading on-site execution of all events, handling guest greetings, space preparation, issue resolution, and financial closing.
• Ensure positive customer experiences and successful delivery of contracted services for events.
• Manage simulators and event spaces according to contract requirements.
• Oversee event timelines to ensure organized and timely activities.
• Train and coordinate with staff in various roles to provide a premium event experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food meets customer expectations.
• Provide feedback to the Sales team to enhance return business.
• Purchase and manage event-related inventory.
• Support Event Sales Manager with administrative tasks.
• Attend weekly meetings to review banquet event orders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create additional events and experiences
• Contribute ideas for improving event experiences and increasing revenue.
• Take pride in ensuring guests' enjoyment by actively checking in with them during their visit and promptly addressing any concerns.

Required Qualifications:

Pay:

This is an hourly + tips position. Base hourly rate is $13/hr - $15/hr depending on location.

Estimated total hourly earnings including tips and service charges:

Approximately $30–$45/hr

Annualized total earning potential (base pay plus estimated tips):

$62,400–$93,600/yr.*

*Actual earnings will vary based on hours worked, event volume, service charges, and tips received. Tips and service charges are not guaranteed and are not part of the base hourly rate.
