Job summary

Surf Hotel is seeking experienced, dependable Event Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team for weddings, private parties, concerts and other events throughout the year. This role excels in fast-paced service, teamwork, and delivering warm, professional hospitality while maintaining an organized bar.

Ideal candidates show strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine and spirits, excellent guest service, and reliability for evening and weekend shifts with flexible hours based on the event

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience is required.
  • Wedding, banquet, restaurant, or high-volume event experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
  • Ability to stay organized during busy events.
  • Dependable, punctual and works well independently or with others.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol in Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, stock, and break down event bars.
  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic beverages.
  • Follow established recipes, pour standards, and responsible alcohol-service practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace.
  • Monitor inventory and communicate product or supply needs.
  • Process guest transactions accurately when applicable.
  • Assist with event setup, cleanup, and other service needs.
  • Collaborate with fellow bartenders, banquet staff, event leads, and restaurant leadership.
  • Occasionally assist with restaurant service or other F&B operations as needed.

The Surf Hotel is seeking experienced, dependable Event Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team. Our event program includes weddings, private parties, concerts, and other special events throughout the year.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced service, works well as part of a team, and can provide warm, professional hospitality while maintaining an organized and efficient bar.

Schedule

This is an event-based position, with hours varying according to our event calendar. Most shifts take place during evenings and weekends, with the greatest need throughout our busy wedding and concert seasons. Flexible weekend availability is required.
