Event Bartender | Part-Time | Ocean Center

Position Summary

The Event Bartender is responsible for serving all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The role requires a personable and professional demeanor, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work scheduled events as needed.

This position pays $13.00 per hour and is tip-eligible. Benefits include a 401(k) Savings Plan and matching.

This role remains open until June 27, 2025.

Responsibilities

1. Demonstrate excellent guest service, teamwork, and uniform standards.
2. Follow pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide accurate service.
3. Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and regulations.
4. Learn about various beer, wine, and spirits, and suggestively upsell to guests.
5. Pour drinks responsibly, adhering to standard serving sizes.
6. Verify guest IDs in compliance with regulations to ensure legal drinking age.
7. Communicate cut-off times to guests as required.
8. Respond to customer requests and concerns promptly.
9. De-escalate intoxicated or confrontational guest situations; contact management or security when necessary.
10. Consult management for issues beyond standard decision-making.
11. Restock and request additional products as needed.
12. Handle cash accurately and maintain the issued bank.
13. Keep the work station clean and sanitary at all times.
14. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of bar equipment.
15. Assist with setup and breakdown of bar equipment and organization of the cooler as assigned.

Qualifications

2. Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
3. Self-directed with the ability to work within a team.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.
