Base pay range

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $13 to 15, plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Meet the company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus, providing service accordingly.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and regulations.
• Learn about various beer, wine, spirits, and suggest upsells to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly per standard sizes.
• Verify guest age by checking IDs in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate cut-off times to guests as required.
• Respond to customer requests and concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations; involve management or security if needed.
• Handle cash accurately and manage the bar's issued bank.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, ensuring equipment is well-maintained.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar, stocking, and organization tasks.

Qualifications

• At least six months of bartending experience.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed with teamwork skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Bartending school preferred.
