POSITION: Bartender

DEPARTMENT: F&B

REPORTS TO: Banquet Manager

Salary: 18$/hr

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Bartender for ASM Global/Savor. Savor... is proud to be the exclusive Food & Beverage provider at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, responsible for providing the highest degree of professional catering service to guests with the goal of achieving customer satisfaction and retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Be at work and in proper uniform according to scheduled time.
2. Follow instructions for each event as given by the Banquet Captain, Concession, Banquet or Catering Manager.
3. Greets and speaks to all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
4. Serves alcoholic beverages in an appropriate manner consistent with company standards.
5. Answers guest questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner.
6. Assist with collecting and returning of all bar equipment to include cups, glassware and serving pieces for each event.
7. Assist with preparing garnishes and specialty alcoholic beverages.
8. Assist with preparation and set-up of event room/space.
9. Prepare tables with place settings as instructed by Banquet Captain and/or Manager.
10. Attend pre-function meetings for briefing of event details.
11. Provides the highest level of service in accordance with our standards.
12. Identifies drink orders when ready and delivers items to tables in a timely manner.
13. Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
14. Communicates with food and beverage staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
15. Report any customer concerns and/or complaints to Manager or Banquet Captain.
16. Maintains professional relationships with all coworkers.
17. Follows checklists and standard operating procedures.
18. Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
19. Maintains full knowledge of menus, recipes, and other pertinent information.
20. Constantly increasing knowledge of food, beverages, and other products and services.
21. Ensures that guests have a positive and memorable experience at each event.
22. Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
23. Prepares work area for either opening, mid-shift, or closing in accordance with company standards.
24. Breakdown tables and equipment after each event, returning equipment and service ware to proper storage location.
25. Punches clock in full uniform, ready to work, and no earlier than five minutes prior to shift.
26. Performs duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
