Job summary

The Hilton Lexington Downtown is seeking a Banquet Server to deliver flawless catering service for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. You will work closely with the events team to set up, serve, and break down stations with attention to detail and a guest-first approach.

Responsibilities include understanding the BEO, greeting guests, upselling beverages, and maintaining a polished presentation.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of fine dining service experience.
• ServSafe or TIPs certification preferred.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in stressful situations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Be a BEO Expert – understanding your BEO so you can set up and break down each event safely and efficiently.
• Be a Friendly Face – arriving at work on time to set up banquet and side work station, keeping areas clean and presentable.
• Be a Host as well as a Server – pour water, maintain tidy place settings, upsell wines, provide friendly service.
• Be a Food Professional – know the menu and ingredients to answer questions and assist guests.
• Be a Safety & Security Agent – follow hotel safety policies and procedures; ServSafe and alcohol training required for banquet staff.
