Job summary

Congress Hall Hotel in Cape May, NJ seeks a banquet bar server to deliver beverages for events. You will set up the banquet bar, assist with opening side work, and ensure all equipment is properly stored after each function.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year high-volume bar experience required.
• Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Congress Hall standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve banquet bar beverages to guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Complete opening side work, gather bar supplies, garnishes, spirits and utensils for setup.
• At function end, return equipment and supplies to proper location in a clean, orderly fashion.
• Ensure safety of walkways by transporting equipment properly; handle linens carefully.
• Do not serve minors or intoxicated persons.
• Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits.
• Support Banquet Captains to ensure functions run smoothly from start to finish.
• Work with function service agents to ensure proper function setup.
• Recommend maintenance and housekeeping improvements for banquet space.
