The Classic Center in Athens, GA is seeking an Event Attendant to support event planning and execution under the Director of Events Services. You will manage logistics for assigned events and serve as the primary client contact on site.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with college degree preferred. You should demonstrate supervisory abilities and excellent customer service, and you will participate in life safety compliance and on-site operations.

Qualifications

  • Work irregular schedules as needed to supervise events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Event Attendant will be responsible for the execution of all planning within the EPS documents created by Event Planners, managing events within The Classic Center as assigned and shall monitor the logistics of assigned events. This position reports directly to the Director of Events Services.

TYPICAL WORK ROUTINE INCLUDES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
  1. Maintain a productive work schedule as required by events assigned by the Director of Event Services.
  2. Follow the Event Planner’s detailed written outlines and instructions for events as required.
  3. Study all prepare detailed scaled drawings illustrating event requirements and other event documents
  4. Notify Director of Event Services of facilities or equipment in need of repair or replacement.
  5. Interact with Classic Center staff in a courteous, cooperative and professional manner.
  6. Serve as the primary contact for the client during their event at the Classic Center.
  7. Proficient in all areas of life safety in accordance with operational policy and procedures.
  8. Work irregular schedule as required ensuring proper supervision of all assigned events and activities scheduled in The Classic Center.
  9. Such other duties, functions, and special projects as assigned by the Director of Operations of The Classic Center.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Minimum high school education or equivalent. A college degree is preferred. Additional years of experience may serve as substitute on basis of two (2) years’ experience for one (1) year of college.
  2. Ability to demonstrate supervisory skills
  3. Excellent Customer Service skills
