Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services seeks a part-time Mental Health Support Specialist to provide care for clients in our Residential Programs in Apple Valley, MN. Onsite presence is required to support daily activities and safety.

Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays 3:00 PM–11:30 PM (16 hours/week). The role offers $20.50 per hour with a $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates and applicable shift differentials for evening/night hours.

Qualifications

• Must have physical presence onsite.
• Document interactions with clients into the organization’s EHR and program documentation systems with clear communication.
• Exhibit behavior consistent with customer service and professional standards.
• Responsible for medication administration in accordance with policies.
• Engage with clients using person-centered principles to support individual goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation while prioritizing safety.
• Assist with Independent Living Skills coaching related to treatment plans.
• Full-time staff are on-call in rotation.

Responsibilities

• Must be onsite with clients and staff.
• Document interactions in EHR and program systems clearly and promptly.
• Interact professionally, maintaining standards established by the program.
• Administer medications per policy.
• Engage clients daily to support goals and treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed for safety.
• Teach/coach Independent Living Skills aligned with goals.
• Attend mandatory team meetings and participate in shift rotas.
