Job summary

Northeast Arc’s Recreation program in Danvers, MA is hiring a Recreation Specialist to implement and manage community-based programs and events. You will collaborate with the Recreation Manager and staff to create engaging activities that promote health, social connections, and personal growth for participants with disabilities.

This per diem/part-time role requires weekend availability (Fridays, Saturdays) and occasional weekday shifts; salary is $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Solid communication, both verbal and written.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or youth.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR/Safety Care certifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage community-based programs and events.
• Schedule, organize and lead recreation programs.
• Support individuals with disabilities in participating in activities.
• Prepare and maintain program records and reports.
• Maintain a safe program environment per Northeast Arc policies.
• Work weekends and non-traditional schedules as needed.
• Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.
