Job summary

Boston Medical Center- South is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to support adult psychiatric patients. Under RN supervision, you will assist with personal cares, comfort, and basic activities, while respecting patient rights and privacy.

Prior CNA experience or nursing student status with Fundamentals of Nursing I & II completion is required. The role is part-time (32 hours), evening shifts, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year nursing assistant experience or nursing student in progress with Fundamentals of Nursing I & II completed.
• Massachusetts CNA license or enrollment in accredited nursing program with course completion.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Mandatory de-escalation education within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform direct patient care for adults in psychiatric setting.
• Address personal needs and comfort, maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure timely care.
