Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in the Geri Psych - Seton 7 West unit. Part-time schedule supports patient needs while maintaining compassionate, privacy-conscious care.

Requirements include a MA CNA license (or enrollment in nursing school) and at least one year of CNA experience or active nursing studies, with strong English communication skills and medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification/Licensure: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses 'Fundamentals of Nursing I & II.'
• Experience: Must possess a minimum of one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or be a matriculating student in a nursing program and have completed the 'Fundamentals of Nursing I & II.'
• Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.
• Prioritization: Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.
• Compassion: Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empathetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse.
• Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our committment to patient rights, exceptional care and the hospital's values and mission into his/her perfomance of job duties.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
