Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This fast-paced unit serves all ages with high-acuity cases and a strong emphasis on learning and mentoring within a supportive leadership team.

The ED features Level II Trauma Center status, primary stroke center capabilities, and close collaboration with physicians. The role requires one year of ED RN experience in an acute care hospital.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start.
• 1 year of recent ED RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Nursing specialty education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed clinical assessments and create/adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families; document learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement care plans.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor progress to ensure safety and quality of care.
• Participate in team-based care and continuous improvement initiatives.
