Job summary

Foundation 2 Crisis Services seeks a dedicated youth shelter staff member to provide daily supervision, routine structure, school transports, and trauma‑informed care for clients at the Cedar Rapids shelter.

The role requires de‑escalation skills, accurate documentation of interactions and incidents, and the ability to plan and supervise groups and activities on and off campus, while supporting staff and upholding safety.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in human services.
• Background checks required by Foundation 2 Crisis Services.
• Willingness to obtain Medication Manager training.

Responsibilities

• Complete paperwork: intakes/discharges, DOs, referrals, and sessions.
• Provide trauma-informed care and de-escalation.
• Pass medication with proper training and documentation of client interactions.
• Plan, lead, and supervise groups and activities on/off campus.
