Job summary

ACTIVSTARS is seeking a Youth Cheer Coach for the Tucson area, working evenings on a part-time basis. The program emphasizes fun and learning for ages 4-15 and will coach three age groups in cheerleading and cheer dance with pom usage.

The role includes lesson planning, teaching safe techniques, supervising practice check-ins, choreographing routines, and basic record-keeping, with opportunities to participate in three to four paid weekend events per semester.

Qualifications

• Have previous cheerleading experience.
• Enjoy working with children, ages 4-15 and would you like to get back into cheerleading as a coach
• Are at least 18 years or older
• Have reliable transportation on a weekly basis
• Are enthusiastic, positive and passionate about cheerleading
• Can lead by example and be a role-model to youth!

Responsibilities

• Coaching three age groups per team each semester.
• Create practice plans and lesson objectives.
• Teach safe cheerleading and cheer routines.
• Oversee practice check-ins and progress.
• Choreograph dance routines and performance cheers.
• Support team stunting fundamentals and execution.
• Keep basic records of attendance and progress.
