Job summary

YMC Bath Area Family YMCA is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean and sanitized facility, including locker rooms and common areas. The role requires ability to lift up to 25 lbs, work on ladders up to 6 feet, and operate cleaning equipment safely.

15-20+ hours per week; eligible for a FREE YMCA membership. Applicants should have a positive attitude, reliable transportation, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, members, and the public.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred.
• A positive, helpful attitude.
• Reliable transportation.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, Y members, and the public.
• The ability to read, interpret and follow instructions, schedules, procedures, manuals, and other applicable documents.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment, cleaning products, and their safe, efficient use (or the willingness to learn).

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas including locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Mop, dust, vacuum, trash and recycling removal, window washing, and refilling supplies.
• Related tasks may also include light grounds-keeping and other responsibilities.
