YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a part-time maintenance worker for Irsay Family YMCA in Indianapolis, IN. The role is evening shift with no prior experience required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, restroom care, trash removal, room setups, safety tasks, and learning to operate standard cleaning equipment. Must be at least 18 and able to perform physically demanding tasks. Background checks and safety training provided upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No experience required, perfect for students or anyone wanting a second income.
• Able to handle physical cleaning tasks and climb ladders.
• Must complete standard YMCA background checks and mandatory safety training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean windows.
• Restroom Care: Clean and sanitize restrooms and shower areas.
• Trash Removal: Empty trash bins and keep the facility orderly.
• Room Setups: Arrange furniture and set up spaces for YMCA programs.
• Safety: Clear snow or debris from walkways and report any repair needs to management.
• Equipment: Learn to use standard cleaning tools such as floor buffers and carpet extractors with paid training.
