Qualifications

• 6000 hours welding work experience OR combination of an associate degree in welding technology and at least 3,000 hours of recent, relevant tested welding experience. Expertise should include GMAW, SMAW, Oxy-Acetylene, GTAW welding, cutting processes, safety, and blueprint reading.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate in both small and large group settings with diverse groups of people including co-workers, students, business contacts and administration.
• Strong computational ability to include mathematical calculations and analyzing statistical data.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evening welding classes (classroom and laboratory sessions).
• Develop/restructure curriculum.
• Assess student learning and manage equipment, materials, and supplies.
